my parents dont give me shit about modding either of my cars,..even though when i did buy the second hatch she asked " why spend the money on another one when you can make the one you got faster with that money" reason i bought the second car was for my girl,...im now trying to convince my mom into putting some 20s on the lexus now :chuckles:

Well its okay to have fun, but if modding your car will take your entire paycheck then your dad is right.

 

my parents dont mind if there is a reason for something i buy... i.e my exhaust manifold bolts(2) snapped.... and since it has to come off to take the bolts out, i said i might as well put a DC sports header on.... and they understand. Other things like an Intake... i get responses when im going to buy it like "you don't need it, whats it going to do". No!. But if i make a big deal about it, then they're fine with anything i want to buy. I dont spend money on any other things, like clothes etc... too often, i wait for christmas... haha. I dont waste money on crap.

 

Since my brother put a exhaust and intake on the accord I have now when he was 15, my dad was pretty pissed. but now that I have the car, my dad is pretty supportive of me doing this and wants to see the accord finished off. Since I have had it, I have bought everything for it as far as mods. My dad is cool and usually calls out rice all the time haha. But if your broke and are getting ready to move out I could see why he is pushing you not to mod your car.

 

I have been the -responsible- one in the family all the time. Now I am thinking of buying a prelude or taking that money and start investing in some sort of business. Don't know what will I do.

Although, my dad thinks prelude are bad investment (will probably become my Mx6 - extremely hard to move) he is pushing me to get that than think about biz at this time.

Will be turining 24 in couple of months. Sheeesh I am old.
