i'm getting a new place (my own finally) and i'm gonna be needing furniture. i hear alot of good things about ikea. anyone have ikea stuff? or, anyone know of other places to shop?

lots of nice stuff to buy. its also very cheap. but you get what you pay for in a way. its not the best of quality stuff. but for college students, its :thumbup:

i'm not a student though. doesn't mean i have money though. i don't know of any other large scale cheap furniture places. :dunno:

everything my family has ever bought at ikea(besides stuff that cannot break, like glass cups etc...) has fallen apart, or soon will. THe stuff is cheap, particle board stuff... which may look nice, but doesnt hold up too well... there are exceptions for some items, but id say buy stuff quality over quantity rather than buy from ikea.

forgot to mention that alot of the stuff they sell, like furniture etc... really isnt that great of a deal anyway..like desks.. when u buy all the pieces its like $500 + for a simple "L" shaped desk.
