the bottom line is....unless you had a radar detector, it's pretty fuckin hard to tell how fast someone is travelling.

He made other passes other nights at that speed, and I was in the car those times. besides that, we heard the governer kick in about the time he passed us. I don't think he hit the tree at 120, i'm sure more like 100, he did skid something like 350 feet, through some grass, then into the tree. I'll ask her to get that camera back and we'll take pictures of the area.

more like a rev limiter....so what's the cutoff in 3rd and 4th gears?

so, did you go and triangulate the distance, measure the skid marks, count the rolls, etc.. etc.. to figure the approximate velocity of impact?

So why can he be going 120, then at 121 mph the car just hesistates until it goes down to a reasonable speed
