uh-huh... i dont mean to sound ignorant but what is oem? does it mean STOCK? is it a name brand for parts?

stock parts. Nissen makes the OEM brakes, etc.

Stock parts from the stock company. But OEM can also be considered JDM parts from that car company.

basically anything that comes from the factory of the car company...

IE an oem hood would be made by honda...."oem style" would be made with the same design, but not made by honda.
