Need opinions on laptops and where to get the best deal...
Hey all, I am interested in picking up a new laptop but don't know much about comps. I was thinking Dell cause I hear a lot that they are good and service is excellent. I want to have a good graphics card and speed (at least) 2.0Ghz so I can play games without worry. Any suggestions on where there are good deals and what company makes good laptops???
Help is appreciated thanks.

even the best alienware laptop doesnt give great performance in 3dmark tests but it'll play games well
alienware and voodoo laptops for nice looks and performance but you need plenty o dough.
Dell laptops are amazingly cheap. i'd get one of those but not expect it to play hl2/doom3. i buy laptops for portability and gaming....i bought a 600mhz/$600 3lbs notebook to carry around.
those desktop replacements are hugeh:

check www.ecost.com they have some pretty decent deals. As for me, I think I might pick up the Dell 8200 next year, I'll need it for school, but it will also replace my room comp.

I'm going to need a laptop for school, due to traffic/distance from my house. But I'd love to be able to use video editing, music editing, and Photoshop on it as well.

unless its an ati 9200 pro (vid card), it won't play decent games very well.
