Default Developing a website for a marketing company *link

http://home.socal.rr.com/dnickel/tmp/

I created a simple layout. Sorry, I have not completed the images.

On the left, I will create an image map with the basic information, such as promotions, opportunities, contact info, q's, disclaimer, etc.

On top top, below the logo/images, I would like a menu-type, where if you hover over it, it drags down and opens new options. Windows-like, how can I do this? Javascript? Any suggestions would help

Also, I'm debating whether to use the dark or lighter shades of blue for the main area.

Any other critique/criticism would be GREATLY appreciated

thanks in advance everyone

i think it looks good. as for the hover menu thing, you can use what i use, although i guess that wouldn't work for the company (since you have to buy a license to have it on a company website). www.dynamicdrive.com has a bunch of menu things like that though.

Good start... maybe show an example of dark text on white for the main area.

maybe a lighter shade of gray. Try to avoid blue, it is starting to get played out, hard to make a nice hotness design IMO.

even if you just have the color there(of the menus) fill in the x's for now. It will give you a better feel for what it will look like.

Is it suppose to be blue? It shows up purple for me. But I like the overall layout.

looking good... i would get away from the blue IMO.. i think you should try maybe a soft Tan color or orange.. not BRIGHT orange.. but something thats a good contrast to the black/gray. and if its light, it will be easy to read for the customers.. good luck

i like the layout... its pretty clean cut and straight forward. i personally like the darker blurple color over the light blue one.
