My roommate is pretty hard-core into street luging... He just rebuilt his luge with these trucks where the axle is suspended by 4 bearings, in addition to the wheel bearings. Its an aluminum frame and wood/vinyl seats, an aluminum handlebar and bike "ears." I ride, but don't have the money to build my own... My top speed so far on his luge is about 57, his is about the same. Our fat friend managed a 59 before nearly killing himself. Good stuff. Any street lugers?

i'm not doing it because its eXtreme, I just like going fast in wheeled contraptions (furniture dolleys, cars, bikes, wheelchairs etc...)

The only other "eXtreme" sport I do is snowboarding, but I've been riding (ski/board) since I was 3, and I live in colorado, so thats pretty much normal.
