Motorcycles
I am obsessed with buying a motorcycle for the summer months here at home, and last night i took my friends 98 ninja for a spin around the block and man it was awsome.
what is some basic information about bikes?
im looking in the direction of a Honda CBR 600, it definatly wont be a new one because im just a poor student.
for example:
how many miles is too much for a bike?
how hard are bike engines/parts etc to work on?
are they really that good on gas?
thanks!

20,000-30,000 miles is sorta high mileage...considering they easily rev past 10k rpm
bikes are EXTREMELY easy to work on!! once you unbolt the fairings, everything is right in front of you. all you need is a decent swingarm stand.
i never calculated the exact MPG i used to get, but it was about 40+mpg. a full tank (91 octane) only cost $6-7, and would have about a 200 mile range before the warning light came on.
try www.sportbikes.net or www.cbrworld.net , or any other sportbike forum...they usually have sections for new or aspriring riders.
