sounds ricey:dunno: never heard of essenza. are they like knock off potenza's

205 means your tread is 205 mm wide. The official term is "section width."

40 means the sidewall height is 40% of the section width, which in this case is 82 mm (205 x 0.40 = 82). Sidewall height is measured from the rim to the tread in any place on the tire.

16 is the rim diameter.

H is the speed rating. This is the maximum speed the tires are rated for by the manufacturer and has nothing to do with traction, just how well they hold up to heat stress. An H speed rating means the tire is safe up to 130 mph.

And yeah this Essenza shit or whatever they are isn't exactly sounding very encouraging.
