Default My cousin hydrolocked.

He called me when it happened since I was only like 2 minutes away, by the time I got there, the huge ass puddle he drove through was gone. :eh: He said he was in the outside lane, saw the puddle and moved into the inside lane where it wasn't as deep, but still he got fawked. It couldn't have been very deep because it didn't look like a part of the road that would hold a lot of water, but it was enough that when he went through, water splashed into his open window, and his car stalled immediately. Won't crank at all.

It's a '99 Si with AEM CAI...factory suspension. :eh:

I drove through a huge ass puddle before. I got scared to death that the damn thing would fudge my motor. Luckily it didn't. I've seriously gotta put my stock airbox back on.

Just cause it wont start doesn't mean it's hydrolocked.

wtf??? that's wierd. sorry to hear. was he flooring it going through the puddle??? cause unless he was hitting the throttle kinda hard, the water wouldn't be sucked into the tb. you need to have the engine under load to have the vacuun suck it in, it isn't just forced. oh well, best of luck find out what happened.

did he have the bypass filter? There was some serious flooding around here yesterday, I'm so glad I had mine on.
