I went to bring the BMW in, to pick up this leather cleaner crap, since tan leather gets dirty as ****, it picks up all the dyes from jeans, and fabrics. So they offered a free interior+exterior wash, and one of the mechanics who we know said he would give the car a run through for free. So my dad and I go to the Benz dealer, to check their stuff out and piss around.

Why the **** do people buy a Benz. I was sitting in an SL500, and the interior controls are soo shiny, they look like total ass. All the knobs and plastics. And Im paying 100,000CDN+. That said, Porsche isnt too much better.

So we go drive a C-Hatch.

C-Hatch witht he 1.8L is a total peice, the engine is weak, its harsh and makes terrible vibrations. I think 98CoupeV6 of N/R tested one and had the same things happen. I drove it for 2 minutes and handed the keys over to my dad, it sucked so much.

I read later in a magazine 48% of all MB service vists are for repairs, and not schduled maitencence.

I have 2 cousins, one with an ML500 and one with an S500. Ive heard many a horror story, including the windows not going up or down, the sunroof not retracting, and the leather gets wet, and the check engine light coming on a bajilion times.

Mercedes seems to have taken a total dive in quality, although the AMG models are pumping some serious power.

Although Rick, Deek, and the guys who want E36s know, BMW>Luxury Brands

 

Want some honest truth? the C320 had several features that never worked or worked once in a while. I was making a list and it was approximately 7-8 deep.

Most of them were electrical problems.

Everything would have been covered by the warranty but I didn't want to make several trips. Anyways, not my problem anymore.

Its made in Alabama...close enough

 

every Z3/X5 and now the Z4 are made in Spartanburg S.C. but you don't see as many problems with X5s :rick:
