I don't understand this. You can't go to a "gay" bank to get out money to go to the "gay" supermarket. My point is, by having a school just for one group of people, you're sheltering them from the real world. It's not easy, but if people learned simple people skills they'd be better off. People take things really personal. No, conventional high school isn't a walk in the park for gay studens. That 14-18 age group has some pretty immature people, but what's also immature is people running away and seeking refuge in a utopia that does not exist. What happens when they walk out of that high school? What about after high school? What about LIFE in general?

Edit: "These people" is kind of impersonal and demeaning. They're still people. Maybe parents should treat their kids to keep their mouth shut and not form opinion on people that they do not know personally. Stereotypes show laziness and ignorance. I disagree with the school, but it's made on the premise that there IS a lot of negative feelings and actions against one group of people. It DOES deserve special attention. I think it just sweeps it under a rug.

plus, in a way this makes them a bigger target from hate groups and people who dislike gays, their reasoning "why do tehy get a school just for themselves" causing them to be hated more.

No, the reason they are hated is because people with small brains have kids and teach them how to be equally hateful against people that have, for the most part, done nothing to them.

What the ****?
Why is there a gay school?
Sexual orientation shouldn't have anything to do with education, sounds stupid to me.

when these kids get into the real world...they are going to be in shock at what other people say. allowing them to experience this in a normal public school environment would be a better idea IMO :dunno:
