you need to be a police officer first.. then you have to prove that you would be a benifit to the SWAT program before they'll take a look at you. My step brother was on the LAPD and getting in to the SWAT program there is hard as hell, but he had a pretty good chance, we went to bosnia with the swat chief for the UN for a while, but some stuff happened over there and he reconsidered his life and quit the force.

 

woah I didn't know they had millitary experience. shoot hmmn even if I do become a police officer maybe I'll have a chance at it, now what about the d.e.a do I have to have millitary experience or what kind of experience do I need for that?

Having a Criminal Justice major would be an extra plus. My friend recently graduated in that field and he is looking into the Office of Homeland Security and the CIA.

Well, if this is what you really want to do try being a police explorer so you can get a taste of what it's really like in the ridealongs n' such. But if you still want to get a degree I'd say go to school first.

Is it really necessary that I go to school first to get my criminal justice degree? I can't go while I'm being a cop because all of the classes I want take are only offered at night and I work at night.

 

No, there are cops with only HS diplomas. But if this is something you really have to do having work at night as your priority shouldn't be an issue. Give a little to get alot more.
