Question for the .223/5.56 Experts
Isn't that only if you miss? I though a load to the chest would slow down enough to not penetrate any walls. Of course, its not like I live in a high crime neighborhood, so I'm hoping the need never arises. And if it does, hopefully the perp isn't strung out on something and is the type who prefers not to stick around when looking at the wrong end of a 12 gauge. Now, if we reach commie revolution/SHTF status, I'm laying down as much fire as I can to keep the thieves/commies/zombies/whatever at bay.

I'm fairly surprised that it only had a 3" spread at 12".
I'm actually looking into getting a Yugo SKS, tons of cheap 7.62x39 ammo from the Soviets. Unfortunately Indiana doesn't allow anything less than .357" for deer hunting.
