Default calling css/php expects, can someone help a brother out

i have this banner on my site but for some reason only the top 10% (or so) of the banner is clickable :squint:

it's the "cheaper than dirt" banner on the left at the top.

looks like it's the table for the ads. the first cell in that table covers the banner. tables = bad idea. always.

that image isn't in a table, but the ones to the right of it are. and that table covers the dirt image.

Yeah, the code for the banner is right above a table in the "DIV" container. Tables take up all the room they want, so it's covering half your image.
If you must use tables, I would just put the banner in a table above it.

the z-index just puts it on top of anything with a z-index less than 10. since the table is at 5, it works.

but still. tables??

It's a forum. There's not an easy solution.
