Anyone else love this HBO miniseries?

I'm starting the first episode again. This will be my 20th time watching it.

I was looking forward to The Pacific so much.
I think I watched 2 episodes. IMO, it failed horribly.

It has 4.2 stars on Netflix though. Perhaps I should give it a full shot.

i think with The Pacific they wasted too many episodes on things that didnt really matter. they should have focused more on the actual battles. i know as a Marine and all my buddies thought this too, we wanted to see more of the legendary battles we all learned about in boot camp. :dunno:

check out Generation Kill if you've never seen it and like military miniseries

I felt like it moved slowly and skipped all over. I loved the character development of BoB and never saw that in the Pacific.

Yeah, I saw Generation Kill. Awesome.
