it 100x better than the AIM client. it also allows me to have dozens of each name, not be limited to 200 buddies, keep MSN, YAHOO, AIM, ICQ, and IRC names on the same client. it allows you to keep notes for each "buddy," logs of all my conversations, a managed away box....most important a single point of failure for 5 different services i no longer have to run.
