the dirt and filth is BAKED ON!!! i spit on my finger and tried to rub some dirt off the hood, and it literALly scratched my finger

Christ man, check the NY DMV site....if its anywhere near as good as ours, it should spell it all out. Underneath the dirt, what color is it?

If it's the blue I'm thinking of - kinda close to the Iceberg Blue Pearl on 7th Gen Preludes- then very cool!

Regarding cleaning the damn thing:
I think a pressure washer is going to be the first step, then numerous hand washes w/ soap and good sheep's wool wash mitts, then a deep cleaner (Meguiars #7 I think) then clay bar it, then color match wax, then paint detailer spray...
