CD blows up!
Yep...
My sis in law was playing Quest for glory when suddenly we hear this noise... it sounds like something literally blew up. Well somehow the cd disintegrated in the cd drive into a million pieces. I have no idea why it would do that but it was kinda wierd.
Who knows maybe this pc is mutating.

there was a test a few months back where like 80x CDRoms were blowing cds apart. good quality compact discs are only able to handle like 72 speed and lower...i would imagine that would break up a poor quality CD.
Back when I worked at Cogan Nissan, my friend Aaron found a CD in a used car he was detailing and then he kind of leaves and we follow him to the break room and the microwave is going and we are like what the.... He was like "hold up this is the best part." The CD was poping like little fireworks in there. Then the Damn thing blow up.
we had to put it out before the "GM" came in.

That sucks! Quest for Glory is such a great freaking game, too. Which one was it, 4? You can find all of them off Kazaa or similar. BTW, those old Sierra discs were known for spiderwebbing and falling apart - something about the cheapo manufacturer they used at the time. Also susceptible: Phantasmagoria 1 & 2, King's Quest and Space Quest Collections, and a few others.
