i tried copying a cd to burn it, but i stopped in teh middle of it b/c it was taking too long...so i decided to DL all the songs from KAZAA...i put the blank cd in to record and it says this

"This drive is in use by another application: Roxio DirectCD Kernel. Easy CD Creator can not use it until the application has completed"

WTF IS THAT? it wont let me take the blank cd out either!! HELP ME!

shut off the computer. as it's starting up... take the cd out.

After that's out and it's started back up. Uninstall Roxio... Install Nero.

Roxio does some bad things to cdrom drives. It runs it's own drivers and tries to take over things. :nono: bad roxio.

 

i got it fixed..

Jimmy helped me. i had to do the emergencey eject thing..it sounded like the cd was stuck or something:dunno: , i grabbed ahold of the track and pulled it out, then restarted it when i got the cd out....then it worked. Thanks Jimbob!


and no, i will not uninstall Roxio, i like it. this is the only problem ive had with it.

i had a problem with roxio the other week...it was becuase i downloaded a wav. file instead of a mp3. file....

 

should be able to burn WAV to cd easily. To make audio cds, the program converts mp3s into WAVs anyway.
