How many of you have a formal home office area? We have a room we've considered a home office but it's full of junk and is totally non functional. I have all my camera gear and old work files and dvds and EVERYTHING just kind of all over the place.

It's actually the one room in the house I'm ashamed of because I just haven't cared enough to clean it up.

Well today I decided to invest a little time and money into finally making it into a room I would use. (normally I work on the couch or the smaller dining table here in the family room.)

I'll take some pics tonight before I start clearing everything out. (basically throwing everything away and donating/selling the rest).

Anyone care to show off their home office/computer desk area? I know drew's setup is OCD awesome but I'd love it if you call share too.

 

I have a home office. Just my bookshelves and desk. I also have a chair in there. Nothing fancy

 

At my apartment the spare bedroom has two desk/study areas, and my hobby area (guitar stuff, ton of fish tank stuff, and soon bike stuff). And storage.

 

i had one, and then we redid the kitchen and kid room, and it's been full of junk since. i do need to work on it soon though.

 

See. That's exactly what happend with me.. worked on the nursery and then we just kept throwing shit in there.. then the desktop hd failed so I moved my lappy in, but that broke too.. Basically it's just been a dumping ground. I took pictures and it looks HORRIBLE.

I've got work files (trial binders/contracts/transcripts) and a TON of books (reference and what not).

Plus I've got piles of old financial docs that I'm scanning/shredding so it's just a big cluster right now. I'm halfway through emptying it out. Just have the desk and a shelving unit and all the shit on the ground.

I'll post pics once I've got it empty. Bought the following:

(2) Tall floor to ceiling book shelves
(2) Medium Slim cabinets w/ faces
(1) short bookshelf
(2) Long wall shelves
(3) picture rails
(1) Glass Table Top
(2) Stands

Total was still under a grand. Hoping to get this finished within the week.

 

My office has my computer under my model railroad, also have all the storage for my tools that I don't store out in the garage from when I was a kitchen and bath remodeler.

 

As of last week, I only have a home office and no formal office to speak of. It's totally trashed right now. I'll take a pic this afternoon

 

one of our bedrooms is now completely empty and has been for a month or so, i'm in the process of painting it, but got distracted.

once i finish that up i'm going to put a small desk in there with my desktop.

could have really used an office for my girlfriend, but she's done with her masters in like two months, so hopefully all of her paperwork goes away and stays at wherever she a job.

 

office is a mess right now lol! we have been changing it up little by little, but so much traveling lately we haven't had the time. ill post updated pics once its all done, this is what it looks like right now.
