ew. i would too get a small sub that requires a small box, and mate a small amp to it. itll be more expensive, but that tube is ew.

I'd look for an Infinity Basslink. I absolutely love mine. 10" sub / 200W Class D amp. Variable Phase and Adjustable Crossover & Gain.

Not boomy, but hard hitting, crisp bass with excellent clarity and control for such a compact, easy to install product.

BTW, it only takes up about 3/4 of a cubic foot. Very compact. Mounts fairly easily to the folding seatback. Use expansion anchors and Dynamat under the carpeting though.

They're about $350 at Crutchfield; they've been on the market long enough to come up on eBay, IMO.

my brother's friend has one in his explorer and loves it. He showed it to me last night but it was 12am so too late to show me how it kicks. I probably will get a basslink.

Very cool. It's money well spent.

I got around to mounting mine a few days ago (it's a carryover from my last car). When the new Panasonic headunit and Infinity 6.5"s come later this week, I'll complete the install soon.
