Mac G5 PC, god dayum
After all, it is the first 64bit chip!
Uh no. Intel Iatanium(sp) has been out for a while.... SUN SPARC have 64bit.... there are plenty of others.
granted they are more for server class... BUT you could buy them and use them if you wanted.
Apple is not the first in anything anymore.

Apple DOES have the more advanced operating system. You cannot debate that. Apple releases periodic security updates, often within 3-5 days of the exploit being announced. Windows has hundreds of security flaws. Mac OS X is far more stable than any WinXP install I've ever used.
Apple G5 towers are also leaps and bounds ahead of ANY PC in terms of case design, practical and aesthetic.
Apple G5's, at least the top of the line, have a 1GHz system bus, 8 banks of DDR400 RAM, HyperTransport, Serial ATA, and 4x DVD-RW.
Apple commands the music, video, and publishing industry. Studies have been done, and with graphic artists, the ones that use Macs make nearly 3x as much money. Also, in a business environment, macs cost about $300 less per year to maintain (1100 vs 1400 for PCs).
A Final Cut Pro system costing 13K can compete with 60K AVID systems.
Apple's implementation of the OS X GUI, which came out in 2000/2001, has been copied by Microsoft, for deployment in 2005/2006.
Macs don't have WMP9.
Macs are not slated to use the Palladium chipset.
The iTunes music store is one of the most sucessful music ventures in history.
I could continue, but I think I've made my point clear enough. Both platforms have their advantages, but unintelligent anti-mac trolling is stupid.

And the G5 AltiVec vector unit is far superior to the SSE2 Intel implementation,,,
OS is really user-opinion... and i prefer windows over any other.. i used mac in school and hated it... i've never used any others.. but im sure being windows biased, i've find something wrong with them that i didnt like... windows is just easy...

Yea, I sure love the Blue Screen of Death!
I've had XP for over 6 months now, with my cpu running 99% of that time, and I have not yet once recieved the "blue screen".
That excuse only applies to 98 and its tangents, and its completely outdated and is used by those who like to bash windows.
Macs are basically for in depth graphic design, or for those that don't know jack shit about computers and just need a box to check email.
I worked as computer support in a place with roughly 60PC/40MAC split. Macs were running OS X 10.2, and PCs were running XP when applicable, about 75-80%. Y'know what? With 3 dedicated PC techs and 2 mac techs, you want to know what the service que was like? 60-80 for the PCs, and 10-20 for the macs.
My mac has been far more reliable than any PC I've known.
Meh... this is getting into a flame war, and will not end... I'm out.

Let me see if I can try restating this so you don't think it's just anti-mac statements.

Yes. For the desktop. Have to make the clear though.

I can debate that. How many times has MS relesased fixes for things BEFORE they are announced? Many times. Klez virus? Fixed my MS 6months before anyone even realized the problem. Etc...

While yes they have SOME advantages... they are limited. They are not universal. You have limits on what you can and can put in, in combination with others. Aesthetic.... that's just opinion. I, personally, think apple has THE MOST UGLY CASES. Not just because they are apple... anyone that copies the "apple aqua" look, looks aweful. I don't care for the look.

1ghz to the ram. Not the whole system bus. While yes that is good, the cards and rest of the system do not work that fast. SATA.... uh... first on PC's. DVD-RW... nice that it's standard... but so is it also on a high end Dell.

This is controversial. Depends where you go. Most people use PC's now for all of this. Apple USED TO dominate here... but not really anymore. 86x based systems own it up here.

And hopefully they'll offer a feature to turn it off. I hate OSX. I've used it. I hate it. I've come accross many problems and generally just think it's ugly. I don't like the aqua, bubbly, shiney look. Must just be me.

Not really. CDs themselves far surpass itunes.

It depends on who and where. I've been in many places that used allmost all MACs.... maybe 5 pc's and the pc's had no probelms. Hey, it comes and goes.
Of course having less than 4% market share does say something about Apple :db:
