Default that RIAA MP3 thing...

I have not heard of them filing one lawsuit yet. Sounds like it was just a scare tactic :nervous:

RIAA can suck my Chevere on this case.

Its never going to hold up. There is virtually no way to do it really.

There was no money made in the deal (except the service hosts...kazaa, Napster, etc.).

Intellectual property...yeah true but that can be fought quite easily.

I dunno I don't see it actually holding up in court for too long...but then they did win against Napster so it sets a precedent for the following cases

I don't see how they plan on bringing these millions of lawsuits against all these people who have downloaded digital music. First off they have to trace all the IP addresses, then get the info of the people behind the computers, then file the lawsuits. It's gonna take them a while, and I don't see it holding up either. They won against napster because napster was making $....these people aren't making any $, and most of them are kids anyways. I think they just need to realize that digital media is not going away any time soon, and no matter what they do to try and stop it, people will always be downloading music. It's a fact of the 21st century. So to the RIAA and Lars, EAT A DICK.

Also because Napster had set servers and you would go through Napsters server than to the user's computer to see their files, while the newer P2P networks avoid the based server, and go straight to the computer if I recall. That was one of the arguements on Napster I believe.
