parking violations!
Hi everyone, I live in NYC and a while back I received a $105 ticket for parking on a sidewalk, meaning all four wheels of my car are on the sidewalk. I was mad but I came to accept it. Well, today, I saw a traffic cop give tickets to everyone who had their cars halfway up onthe sidewalk, meaning only two wheels. I can understand why they would ticket someone with 4 wheels, but now even 2 wheels? Come on! He gave me some BS reason about how sidewalks are meant for pedestrians and not cars. Is it really illegal to have 2 wheels on the sidewalk? BTW, this neighborhood has plenty of trucks and trailers passing by every minute so thats why people have to make room for the trucks to come down the streets.
I got a $70 ticket because of street sweeping... I didn't have the money at the time to pay it and tried to get an extension, but no luck, it went up to $191 :wtc:
it's paid, though
it's paid, though
i nkow sidewalks are for people, but if you have been to NYC you would understand why some cars are forced to be up on the sidewalks a little sometimes. But my point is, is it really a parking violation if you have two wheels on the sidewalk?
