Default so who knows how to take care of/clean suede leather boots?

i just bought some lugz and i never really had suede leather boots before (im more of a sneaker or regular leather fan) and the first day i got them i scuffed them already..so theres a nasty black mark. the tag on the boots said to use a damp cloth and mild soap to clean, i tried that and it didnt work, so i bought some suede cleaner shit at the store, and that didnt work either. any ideas?

My brother swiped my "Wet n black" tireshine spray from me and used that on his suede shoes. He says it works well, but that's after I caught him sniffing some of it. The Wet n Black did make his suede shine again.
