I got problems.

I just did a simple install and update osf Quickbooks on the boss' computer. Asked me to restart and I did so.

Upon restart it just goes to this screen:


Tried booting from last good known configuration, gave me this:
"One of the files containing the system's registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy.
The recovery was successful.
"ok""

Clicked okay and it went right to that screen again.

Tried booting in safe mode, same thing.

Help .

 

repair the install, perhaps.

no no no. insert install disc before bootup, if the startup lets you boot from CD before the OS, then you can run install from the disc before it actually boots to the OS.

if not you could tell the bios to run cd first, and it'll boot from CD no prob.

 

Put his WinXP CD in the drive and boot, should give you the option for a repair install.
