that's happened to me with my kit rockets when I was a kid. The best crash I had was a big rocket that is supposed to release three gliders when it separated, but I put a super long-duration engine in it and it kept burning as the rocket slowly turned around and started pointing at the ground. It finally burned out about 5 feet above the ground and launched the gliders into the ground at top speed.

i had a big six foot rocket when i was a kid, but it wasn't that powerful, i can't remember if it ever crashed to the ground.

i do model rockets with some of my students...the ones that are about a foot tall. the sound they make when they liftoff is freaking awesome

never had that happen..luckily

We didn't have anything like that in the hood.
Didn't see rockets till moved to the suburbs.
