I'd rather have a chrysler turbine car ... then i could sell it for a bunch of batmobiles o:

the chrysler ones could run on just about anything that was combustible. it's almost sad they never actually followed through beyond one production year

I have met the guy that built the original batmobile a bunch of times. He worked in the shop next to ours building props for movies and shows.

Ghia built the bodies for 50 prototypes. They had a reduction gear coupling to the then-current three-speed Torqueflight automatic.
Vmax for the turbine was something like 40K rpm. Four survive today; I think Leno owns one.
