I dont get it. Its not an entire solar system is it?
Just a sun about our size with 1 planet twice the size of Jupiter that is kinda the same distance away. The only other simularity is that they THINK it has the same elemental makeup of our Jupiter right?
Or am I missing something here?

I've read if Jupiter was a little bit bigger it would become a star from the massive pressure at the center of it. How could a planet that is twice as big remain a gas giant if that is true?

but the basic principle is that if this is found, there could potentially be other planet type things around that sun as well. and if that's the case, then it would be a solar system similar to ours.
