Default Sidemarkers flashing too slow

I installed a pair of sidemarkers.......and now the turn signals blink really slow. Does anyone know why it would do this?
The stock light on the bumper has the exact same bulb type - a small single filament bulb (slides into place). I would really appreciate some help on how to get it flashing back to normal (or faster, if possible). Thanks alot.

well i know on my accord... when u mess with the wiring related to the blinkers/brakes etc... u can sometimes get hyper blinkers, saying there a bulb out due to the change....

Maybe your car is the opposite?
