Default Dont you love departmental politics?

I work at HSN in the IT dept. We have many groups. We've got our UNIX admins ... we've got our Network Engineering department ... we've got NT admins, etc.

Well, here's a ticket that I thought was rather funny. We are constantly getting requests from employees to increase their Exchange mailbox size. Basically these assholes cant keep their mailbox size below a reasonable limit. NT likes to deny this. Why? I think they're just assholes but in all actuality its because there is a limited amount of hard drive space. Well, my coworker got a request to increase someones mailbox size. It aint gonna happen so we're going to try and distribute these mails into differnet .pst files all over the place. The point of the thread is the notes in the ticket. I find these amusing:

Alex has his personal folders on his C: drive, it seems he's getting mail faster than he can sort through it. I thought about setting up some rules to route the mail to his personal folders but I've seen rules cause more problems than they fix. I will speak with my peers for alternate suggestions before sending a request for NT to deny.

I guess you techies that have similar situations will like this. Dont you love the interdepartmental politics? :chuckles:
