So lightning hit my transformer last night v.no,notthatkind
it hit at about 730 and burned until almost around 9 even in the pouring rain. i sent the kids and wife to my in-laws immediately and stuck around for the fire department (who ultimately just waited til the rain put it out) and then stuck around for a while waiting on the power company. they never showed so I went to my in-laws to sleep. came back at 0415 (before gym) to lights on. i was pleasantly surprised that the power company already had it restored.
here are a few during and after pics. no decent pics of the fire because i didn't want to take my SLR out in the rain.
