Photoshop, Corel, actually most common graphix programs are supported with the tablets.

They are just so damn expensive for a good one

it really depends on what kind of art work you're planning on doing. things like regular graphic design or web pages would be a waste of a tablet, because you mostly will not need it to do that kind of work. if you're big on hand drawing type things, that is where the tablet is the most useful and practical.

Yeah I had thought about that but I am starting to get into a bit of the more advanced situations.

I dunno I guess I just want a new toy that will allow me to be a bit more detail oriented.

Blurring and smudging would be a lot easier especially with uniformity of direction and fade off. As well as airbrushing could get a bit more realistic.
