Default photoshop elements???

my computer came with photoshop elements. i am wondering what is the difference between this and the full-blown photoshop?

will this satisfy my needs? i'll be beginning photoshop, but i do have experience in autocad/softdesk which is said to help you learn photoshop alot.

whaddya guys think?

DL Photoshop 7

Elements is a very basic and entry level version of PS and I don't think you can upgrade it at all (new filters etc.)

i dont have mcaffe antivirus up and running right now. do you think i should install it anyways? exe files scare me when i'm not protected

I dunno I have yet to DL a virus and I haven't had a virus scan program in years.
