It stands for Standard. It was the lowest model of Civic Hatchback, even below the DX. In the US it was STD in Canada it was known as the CX. It had a D15B1 engine making 70hp and came only with a 4spd manual transmission. It came with pretty much no luxury items but I think you could get almost as many to make it a DX but not quite.
