Resetting my ECU??
i cant figure it out. we disconnected the battery, pulled the fuse from the fuse box under the hood, and let it sit like that for 20 minutes...the damn light is STILL on. anyone know EXACTLY how to do it for my generation??
You didn't have to disconnect the battery. All you had to do is pull the backup ecu fuse (7.5a) under the hood for at least seven seconds. If your check engine light is still on then recheck your ECU codes again. There is still something faulty in your system.

pull the fuse,...OR disconnect the battery,...plug back in,..start the car,..DO NOT TOUCH the throttle after you start the car for atleast 10mins ,...but after you reset your ECU and you still get a Check light,..it means there is still a code
WHY DID IT STAY OFF WHEN AUTOZONE RESET IT?? they reset it and 40 miles later it came back on. i fixed EVERYTHING that could possibly be making it come on. now iwant it off so i can see if it comes back on after i drive it for awhile....then im, SERIOUSLY, parking it on a back road, getting out and leaving it sit!
