Default Cable vs DSL

So I'm going over to a friends house to setup his DSL... he currently has cable through adelphia. But adelphia blocks ports 80 and 21... so for ease of use Verizon dsl doesn't block anything, will make page hosting easier.

Yea 128k upload is not going to do mad page hosting... but some basic stuff.

Cable vs DSL..... we'll see who the winner is.... after these messages.

speeds depend on different variables for each service

they shouldn't be compared

certainly you can compare whats available in yer area and for what price.. like i've done.. which shows cable the best bang for the buck..

DSL ... you dont share bandwith. Cable allocates bandwith per block or something like that, and the more people that use the service, the slower it is for you. DSL allocates bandwith per phone number, and you dont share with anyone.
