and my dads...cd burner, dvd burner/player, vcr, 6 disc cd player, tape deck, 2 amps, and a controller deal...

all very expensive shit...if u want the names of the shit i'll tell you...

my is a pioneer cd player and phillips 5 disc cahnger, if i can remember i got them each for no more then $150...that was like 8 years ago...

I got a Sony receiver for $240, Jensen home theater speakers for $125, Apex 20" flat screen TV, and Lasonic region-free DVD player. Dolby 5.1 and DTS 5.1 never sounded so sweet in a 12'x12' bedroom.

Cambridge Soundworks actually has some appealing and good sounding packages for $400. You can hook them up to your computer as well...good value and good pricing. Not sure if you have them in your area though.
