I regularly go watch the local British Car Club auto X every thursday in the theatre parking lot. You don't HAVE to have a brit car, I started goin because my friend drive his MR2 in it. ANYWAYS, there is prolly 3 or 4 Miatas in it. One of them is REALLY good, but I think the guy that drives it used to be a race car driver. There is only one TR6 that can keep up, and one civic coupe that 3 wheels :thumbup: Anyways, the point of this whole paragraph is that yes I kinda want one. I like the newer ones WAY better than the old ones.

Oh ya, this thursday at the races one of them crashed into the curb. That thing was i pretty bad shape, one rim was HOOPED, and his whole wheel was pushed back a few inches and was rubbing, so something in the steering is definately broken/bent.


When I was shopping for a car, I always went to the dealerships at night so I could just look around without being bothered. I saw a new Miata, and was like "ohhh, those look pretty damn cool" Walked up to it, looked into the window, realised there was no way I'd fit, and walked away.

5' 11" and 270 lbs > Miata

i dunno man, theres soemthing about a couple of kids in a civic calling me a fag and then totally WHOMPING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM in a girls car that brings a nice smile to my face.

 

Dude, buy it and screw what anyone says. Turbo that mutha. Drop in a Ford 302. Do something. Im all about the second gen, but for cheap first rawks hard too(though Im not too keen on pop-up headlights anymore). Had I found one of those in decent shape for a good price, Id have gladly gotten it over my 'Teg.

 

I'd take a CRX or Del Sol before a Miata.
It's only girly if you drive it stock, ad drive it like a girl.

 

Eh, teh CRX maybe(it would have to be way cheap and in super good condition[fat chance]), but not the Del Sol. The Miata is RWD(++). I say go for it!

No one is comparing the three. I was just saying that Id maybe take a CRX over a Miata, but definately NOT a Del Sol, VTEC or not.
