i would NOT RECOMMEND the sun version. microsofts version works much much better with applications than suns version, (i know, its weird...but i work with java applications all day long)

go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and run download SP1
i hope you have a legit version of xp b/c their windowsupdate site checks serial numbers now
