Default Mystery Shoppers?

Anyone know anything about this? I.E is it fake or real? I found an add in the paper for a myster shopper, and you get paid $50 for each assignment you do, but there is a fee of $58. Has anyone heard about them?

yes they are real. its called a secret shopper program. companies pay people to go shopping at their stores, and the secret shoppers rate their experience. my stepmom used to do it, and i know that most of the retail places i've worked at use it and take it very seriously.

we have them where I work, I've never seen one but I work the front end most of the time so it doesn't really concern me, however I would be kinda cautious if they are wanting sixty bucks just to get the job...but if you find out where I can sign up send me a pm or something Im needing a new job!

:werd: on being able to pick them out. I worked at a grocery store who did that program. Their mystery shoppers stuck out like sore thumbs - they'd buy just a few things, look at all the other cashiers while in line, keep surveying the store from the line, look at their watch consistanty (to time how long you take to move the line), then they always greet you and smile and watch EVERYTHING you do.

they're easy to spot.
