My mom's got a '98 limited 4x2, w/ ~70k miles, and it runs sooo smooth.

If they've taken good care of the car, you won't have any problems. On the other hand, if they've not adhered closely to the maintenance schedule, the engine will sound very rough, but still won't have mechanical problems since it's a Jap-made Toyota.

That car drives solid BTW :thumbup:

 

Yah but that's a Ford SUV. The pinnacle of reliabilty and fuel economy in the auotmotive market.

 

yeah.. the runners are supposedly REALLY reliable.

I just don't want to have to put any money into it other than an alarm, stereo and tint.
