It is an AWESOME upgrade. I've been using it since it was leaked. Much faster, more user friendly and there are a lot of people that are sticking with GB and forgoing ROM's. For one I prefer GB over any ROM I've used.

Yeah...it took them quite some time to release it OTA. There were a lot of GB clones as well.

Not too sure, but I don't think GB is a ROM dude.. it's just the new version of the android OS that came out.

but yea, been using a ROM that's on GB for a couple months now, it's great and really liking how smooth it runs. been hearing great stuff about honeycomb too android 2.4

I an aware it isn't a ROM and I was staying that people in the ROM community are sticking with straight ginger bread and not adding roms to it since there is no cynogen ASOP for the droid x.

been running it for a few months now on cyanogen 7.0

I really like it. lil tweaks here and there
