An interesting thing to note is that here in "Cali" (Tahoe area), when it gets really bad out, a lot of the crashed and flipped vehicles are 4WD trucks and SUVs.

Jay- I bought a '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in November. I've got leather seats, moon roof, 10 disc changer, etc. I love it. Has the 4.7L V8 and no problems yet. Get decent gas mileage for a v8 too. I get like 25 mpg on the freeway at 75 mph in CC. 13k is a good deal too. I paid 18k for mine and its a 2000. I've got the tow package too but no 4WD. If you have any questions feel free to IM me or PM me

h: i was going to trade my civic in on a grand cherokee this past winter....but that was mainly b/c i was tired of sliding everywhere i went and having to sit on my ass when it snowed...then i thought about how much id miss my car in the summer, and how much cheaper it is to fill the gas tank up in my civic..so i kept her..

My mom has the 2002 v6 special edition.. no problems besides it being slow and it sways a bit. I used to have a 96 and it was badass until the day I crashed it .

Just get an old CJ or wrangler for like 2g's. Plenty fine for snowboarding trips, if you get a hardtop and doors, plus you can go topless and no doors in the nice weather.
