Default waxing my car....

I've got Meguiar's Clear Coat Liquid Car Wax, should I just be able to use it once I'm done washing, or do I need to do anything else first.....I've never waxed a car before, so I thought I'd ask...

yeah just make sure the surface is completely dry and not hot to the touch.

I used to use a clay bar to remove surface containminants.

then use a paint cleaner
then the wax
finish off with gloss coat

now I just wash, and if the surface is fine then just wax it.
