I was wondering if you are racing your car and it has cams and other set up for good top end at teh sacrifice power would vtec be any further advantage if you were sacrificing low end for high? If your racing and staying at top revs I mean. Isn't vtec supposed to give you the best of both worlds so if you were set up for top end anyways would it matter for racing? I'm talking cams that woull still be streetable of course.

I'm looking at buying a non-vtec JDM B20 accord engone for my car and I was woderingif it woudl be any big disadvantage for all out racing not having vtec. It's super cheap too.

u dont need vtec for all out racing. jus get a crazy cam profile .. u wont be able to drive on the street tho
