Default replaceing trunk stuff.

i took apart my trunk to get ready to take my car into the shop.
upon taking out my amp and subwoofer, i notice that the rug in my trunk and the piece of cardboard that covers the spare can use replacing.

have any of you done this? im not talking about going to acura to get them. im talking about going into a carpet store and home depot to make my own.

thanks h:

what i did for my piece of cardboard in the trunk,..i went out to homedepot and got some light weight wood (forgot the name) and i came home,..i laid my old piece of cardboard over the new piece of wood to use it as a template,...i traced it,...then i cut the new piece of shape to size,...im guessing you can do the same with the carpet,..just go to any carpet store i guess,...hatchbacks have that piece of felt attached to the back of the seat and it lays over the wood in the trunk so i never had to replace mine

thanks. how much was that wood? im curious to know what type. i dont really want plywood because it gets messy, no MDF because they dust and are heavy. but i dont want something too thin that it will flex.

yea im actually talking about that felt material on mines also. my old speaker box ripped a whole it in. i was planning to replace that with something thicker. like the carpet that comes with the DCs i think. like the carpet that goes on the inside of the car.
