Default HAN, show me your work bench

I've been building a new one in my garage, and am looking for some ideas.

this is my current work bench.

although, it's a little different as that was shortly after i moved in. you can see some problems with it. on the left, you can see the spring for the garage door. that cuts on any storage on the side there. i also had to kind of duck under the shelf on the top.

i added some hanging tools, and they cut into usable bench area as well as peg board area.

so, i've decided to start from scratch on the other side of the garage so i wouldn't be as limited in space (we have the washer and dryer just to the right of the current bench limiting me to how much bench i could have).

so, i'm looking for storage ideas, and peg board ideas, as well and storage below. i have old cabinets from my kitchen i'm planning on using somehow.

Mine is covered in parts and tools right now, it's rarely clean but it puts up with it :chuckles:

Uh... yeah. It has scooter parts, tools, and a little bit of blood on it.

here's the new work bench, in process.

the drawers on the left and shelves on the right were in my kitchen.

i made it tall enough that i can sit on the stool and fit my legs under it. makes it nice when standing at it too since i'm tall. i also routed the edges to curve them so leaning on the bench doesn't cut into hands or arms. i still need to add some outlets (you can see i started them), and figure out where to put everything. overall, i think i'm going to enjoy working on it.

that's quite the progress...

the one in the basement is a disaster, i'll try to get some pictures.

the one in the garage isn't as bad, but has just as much shit on it that is not related to a work bench. computer monitor, chair, sneakers, 6x9's, football, limited amount of tools.

Mine's buried under a ton of crap. Once I get the garage reroofed I'll clean it up. It's an antique built by the Ann Arbor Organ Company back in 1902, got from a client for hanging a door and a couple of other small jobs in their house.
