wait, so nothing at all happens? any clicking? probably the starter, or something between the ignition and the starter if he's getting nothing but the battery's good... you can try jumping the starter directly, by shorting the solenoid and the positive lead on it... make sure your car is in neutral first though h:

eihter there is a short to the altenator or the altenator is shot. check the ground on the altenator and hit it with a hammer (serious), you want to give it one or two solid taps while turning the key.
